Frequently Asked Questions
Ready to Schedule?
Whether you're using insurance, VA Community Care, or paying directly for care, we're happy to help you get started.
-
Your initial appointment begins with a comprehensive evaluation.
We'll discuss your:
Current concerns
Health history
Previous injuries
Symptoms
Functional limitations
Health and movement goals
Dr. Mecka will then perform an examination based on your presenting condition.
After your evaluation, we'll discuss the findings and recommendations with you.
When it is clinically appropriate and additional imaging or evaluation isn't necessary, treatment may begin at your first visit.
-
New-patient paperwork should be completed before your scheduled appointment whenever possible.
Completing your forms ahead of time gives Dr. Mecka an opportunity to review your information and allows more of your appointment to be focused on you rather than paperwork.
If you cannot complete your paperwork beforehand, please arrive early enough to complete it before your scheduled appointment.

633 Chiropractic works with a variety of commercial insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid plans, and VA Community Care/TriWest.
Insurance coverage varies based on your individual policy.
Being in-network with an insurance company does not guarantee that every service is covered or that your plan will pay 100% of the cost.
Deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, visit limitations, medical-necessity requirements, and other plan provisions may apply.
-
Veterans receiving care through VA Community Care must have an active referral/authorization before treatment can be billed through the program.
If you've received a chiropractic referral from the VA, contact our office so we can verify that the authorization has been received before your appointment.
-
Medicare coverage for chiropractic services is limited.
Medicare generally covers medically necessary manual manipulation of the spine to correct a spinal subluxation when coverage requirements are met. Examinations, X-rays, and many additional services provided in a chiropractic office are not covered under the Medicare chiropractic benefit.
We will discuss applicable charges with you.
-
You do not need insurance to receive care at 633 Chiropractic.
Cash-pay options are available.
We also participate in a healthcare discount program that may reduce eligible fees for participating patients.
Ask us about available options when scheduling.
-
We reserve appointment time specifically for you.
A $50 missed appointment/no-call-no-show fee may apply according to our office policy.
If you need to change an appointment, please contact us as early as possible so the appointment can be offered to another patient
